Grandfather Mountain

Welcome to Highlander International and the Highlander Sword Champions website.   This is for the Highlander TV and movie series fans and sword enthusiasts.  You can participate just for fellowship, coming to the gatherings, or get involve with the sword competitions.  We also have our mailing list for discussions and questions at

The Gathering begins July 8th,. 8pm on the hill north of Grandfather's Mountain game-field. The rules of the game will be announced and names of swordsman chartered. The Gathering will be held the first weekend after Fourth of July at Grandfather's Mountain.  The Final Competition will be held 6 p.m. on that Saturday at a location near the Grandfather Mountain Game  Field.

There will be two rankings.  One ranking is for the year round challenges. The second ranking is for Championship placement.  There can only be  One champion which is determined at each Grandfather Mounting Gathering.

Qualifications:  Must be 18 years old. Must follow  competition rules and conduct honorable behavior worthy of a knight. Each year, new warriors will be anointed to participate in the actual competitions.
